Founding Artistic Director · 2012–present
Arizona Theatre Matters
Amplifying underrepresented voices through live and digital performance — the company behind Heretic, the current repertoire, and the next decade of work.
Jeanmarie has led Arizona Theatre Matters in Phoenix since 2012, producing new work, touring solo repertoire, and building performance that treats access as part of the art itself.
Current performance work continues through Arizona Theatre Matters and Universal Access Productions. In-progress works include When Churchyards Yawn, Bambino Mio, The Jewish Question, and Pineapple and Other Options.
Supported by multiple National Endowment for the Arts awards — including a verified $15,000 NEA grant for a production of The Tempest featuring performers with disabilities. Jeanmarie served as an NEA Theatre Grants panelist in 2023. Earlier support includes six Sierra Arts Foundation grants and twelve Nevada Arts Council grants.
