Jeanmarie Simpson is an American theatre artist — playwright, actor, director, and educator — whose work centers women who challenge systems of power. Founding Artistic Director of Arizona Theatre Matters, she is the author of A Single Woman, Heretic, and the 2026 collection When Churchyards Yawn and Other Plays.
