My very favorite all-time show. A small company, a bare stage and a court that closes in on itself, made at Nevada Shakespeare Company with actors who had been working together for years.
Adrienne Rice wrote in the Reno News and Review that it may be the best one she had seen in Nevada thus far. The production returned in 2005 in repertory with Hamlet.

Residencies with the Nevada Arts Council and Sierra Arts Foundation: the high school kids who were in my first residency, when I was 24, are now over 40. It’s a helluva thing.
On the actor Roderick Dexter: I’ve done a zillion projects with him in about 25 years. He’s a great actor.
Other long partnerships include Cameron Crain, David Ellenstein, L. Martina Young and Eric Davis, and the designers and stage managers who built seasons at Nevada Shakespeare Company from 1989 onward.

Thirteen plays are available to stage, from twenty minute solo pieces to a twelve role ensemble. Each comes with cast breakdown, running time and staging notes, and Jeanmarie is glad to join a rehearsal room or a talkback.

Rights are available for universities, schools, community theatres, festivals, workshops, staged readings, and independent productions.
