Synopsis
In a Boston jail cell on the day before her execution, Quaker martyr Mary Dyer relives loss, motherhood, religious persecution, and the choices that led her to defy Massachusetts law for freedom of conscience.

Bare stage. Lighting and sound are central to the atmosphere. Practical elements can be limited to a short stool, lantern effect, water basin or bucket, and simple clothing or shawl pieces. No walls, flats, or platforms are required.
